The Olde Towne Elkhorn Merchant’s Association first formed in 2009.

Purpose

The purpose of forming the organization was to preserve the history and integrity of the old downtown Elkhorn by promoting and marketing local businesses and community activities. Since forming, the organization has been a vital part of the local community by organizing the following events:

Elkhorn Farmer’s Market

Thursday Nights from June 5th – Oct. 2nd

Bethany Lutheran Church float in the 1967 Centennial parade

Elkhorn Days

Held annually in the month of June. We host the parade and contribute to advertisements, as well as sponsor booths, floats, and volunteer.

Support the Girls

Held every September for Breast Cancer awareness, and to help local families that have suffered from breast cancer.

Events include the cake walk, art auctions, vendor booths, Halloween parade. The bra decorating contest raised over $10,000 the first year.

Ladies Day Out

Held 12 times a year to promote local business and help other organizations, like families in need, toys for tots, dog rescue and fundraising.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Hosted for the last 15 years. The mayor lights the tree and local businesses donate food and drinks.
